A Malay word, 'pasar
malam' when translated into English denotes night market. Pasar malams
are usually held once a week as the vendors are nomadic in nature, moving
and setting up their stalls from one housing estate to another. Pasar
malams have always attracted throngs of people wherever it is held due
to the many available stalls selling an assortment of things such as fresh
flowers, fruits, vegetables, fish and meats, decorative trinkets, hair
ornaments, toys, clothes, audio and visual merchandise, local delicacies
and even pets!
